Raphael to Renoir: Drawings from the Collection of Jean Bonna

Raphael to Renoir: Drawings from the Collection of Jean Bonna, explores over 500 years of European art history and 120 individual drawings from the remarkable collection of M. Jean Bonna of Geneva, Switzerland.
Different artistic schools are represented in this book, including institutions from Italy, Northern Europe, France, and Great Britain, and the subject matter for each of the drawings is just as diverse as their origin.
Examples from both the major masters, as well as lesser-known artists are showcased regionally and chronologically. Drawings from artists including Raphael, Tiepolo, Guardi, van Rijn, Doomer, Lorrain, Seurat, and Renoir, to name a few, are explored in great detail.

Published in conjunction with the exhibition "Raphael to Renoir: Drawings from the Collection of Jean Bonna" at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, January 21st through April 26th 2009.
